I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO, and moved to Chicago away from my parents at the tender age of 18. I have had my poetry published in five books so far, have copyedited multiple books, and have earned a BA degree in English Literature and an MFA in Creative Writing from Chicago State University. My goal is to utilize my writing and editing skills to help others while working toward publishing my own books in the near future. I hope to be an advocate for minorities, women, and rape and molestation victims. When I am not engaged in her job or poetry, I practice the piano and the guitar, sing, paint, draw, and so much more.
